Cavity Wall Specifications

Provide trapezoidal shaped Mortar Net® with Insect Barrier™ to suspend mortar droppings at unequal heights allowing moisture to drain from the cavity and maintain airflow within the cavity wall.

The trapezoidal shaped Mortar Net with Insect Barrier is a structural strand polymer mesh available in 0.4″ (10.16 mm), 1″ (25.4 mm), 1.5″ (38.1 mm), and 2” (50.8 mm) thickness.

The insect barrier is a densely weaved membrane attached to the face of the Mortar Net. Install per manufacturer’s instructions.
