PROBLEM:
The installation of weather resistant barrier (WRB) allowed water to pass through the veneer and land in an area where it could saturate the exterior sheathing and cause deterioration.

SOLUTION:
LathNet, DriPlane or WallNet can replace one layer of WRB. Moisture that passes through the adhered veneer can drain to the bottom of the wall and weep out, preventing saturation of sheathing, framing and insulation.
PROBLEM:
The scratch coat on this project became saturated and frozen prior to the installation of the thin brick veneer. The freezing condition prevented the scratch coat from completely bonding to the setting mortar.

SOLUTION:
LathNet between the scratch coat and the sheathings allows air movement and drainage that gives the scratch coat the opportunity for quicker drying, eliminating freezing and increasing the initial bond of the adhered units.
PROBLEM:
Moisture that passes through the adhered veneer can be substantial at times finding pockets and areas where it can collect for long periods of time deteriorating and rotting sheathing, framing and insulation.

SOLUTION:
LathNet, DriPlane, or WallNet will allow moisture that passes through the thin veneer a path for drainage to the bottom of the wall and eliminate direct contact with the initial layer of WRB.
