MortarFlash® Self-Adhering Stainless Steel is a high-performance flashing designed for durability and ease of installation. It consists of a flexible 2 mil sheet of Type 304 stainless steel with a high-tack butyl adhesive on the back, delivering best-in-class puncture and tear resistance. This product is engineered to withstand harsh environmental conditions, making it ideal for demanding construction applications.
Features
- Available Grades: Type 304 stainless steel (standard) and Type 316 stainless steel (for coastal/more corrosive environments)
- Butyl Adhesive: Excellent adhesion to substrates like OSB, exterior gypsum, plywood, concrete, metals, and air barrier materials. No primer required.
- Surface Adhesion: Stainless steel face provides excellent adhesion for air barriers and sealants
- UV Stability: Unlimited exposure; must be concealed within 180 days to prevent damage
- Workability: Flexible, easy to cut, and form by hand
- Sustainability: Made with 60% recycled content
