MortarNet ™ con Insect Barrier ™ is a trapezoidal shaped mesh used to suspend mortar droppings above the flashing and weeps, so they stay clear and unobstructed. It’s available in four different sizes to account for varying cavity wall widths, and the Insect Barrier portion of the product helps prevent insects from entering the wall through the weep joints.

Specifier Note: MortarNet™ with Insect Barrier™ 0.4” & 1” is manufactured of structural strand polymer mesh, fabricated in a 90% open mesh with attached insect barrier. MortarNet™ with Insect Barrier™ 1.5” or 2” thick is manufactured of structured strand polymer mesh and a hi-loft polyester mesh. It has no negative reaction to PVC, polyethylene, copper, lead, rubberized asphalt, or stainless steel, and will not degrade or decompose over the life of the building. It will not absorb or trap moisture and water.
